Meet Dr. Amala Chirumamilla

With multiple board certifications and expertise in virtually every cardiovascular imaging technology, Amala Chirumamilla, MD, FACC brings a rich array of capabilities, particularly in diagnosis.

She completed her medical education at Andhra Medical College in India before receiving internal medicine training at the University of Buffalo. She also completed research fellowship training at Columbia University and her cardiology fellowship training at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.

She has presented to physician colleagues at both national and international meetings, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the European Society of Cardiology. She is currently the Director of Telemetry at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Chirumamilla is board certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, vascular medicine, internal medicine, echocardiography, vascular imaging, and CT angiography. These multiple board certifications enable her to personally interpret a patient’s cardiac test results—allowing her to combine the patient’s background, current condition and diagnostics. Together, they help Dr. Chirumamilla achieve a precise diagnosis, effective clinical management, and truly personalized care.

Deeply concerned with the high toll heart disease has on women, Dr. Chirumamilla is actively involved in many educational outreach programs, including Go Red for Women, Women’s Heart Health Radio talk show, Women’s Heart Health Club and multiple Lunch & Learn sessions. She openly shares her expertise on prevention, warning signs and treatment options with countless people each year—advancing cardiac medicine both personally and professionally.
